The ESP GL-56 George Lynch Signature Reissue features a traditional strat style body shape fitted with a Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates pickup at the bridge. Combined with 2 ESP SS-120 pickups at the middle and neck.
George Lynch has had a close association with ESP for a number of years and is well known for his creative guitar designs throughout the eighties and nineties. The GL-56 is the high end replica of the custom ESP model that is favoured by George nowadays and has more more vintage feel in look and design than his previous signatur models. The GL-56 is a fine edition to the ESP signature series and even though it has a reasonably high price tag is still far more affordable than many custom editions from Fender and Gibson guitars.
ESP Guitars have a fine reputation for producing high quality instruments in both their signature and budget ranges and the GL 56 will not dissapoint those guitarists looking for outstanding build quality, versatility and tone. We would recommend this guitar for anyone looking for a versatile hard rock, metal or blues workhorse with a vintage edge. Kudos to ESP and George Lynch for creating this guitar.
