Richie reminds me of a modern version of my guitar teacher - and the best guitarist in the US Southeast, if not a greater geographical area. I came to this site looking for what I think I RK's finest song, 'Soul To Soul,' from Mother Head's - it doesn't exist on the net. I have figured out it's in Cm (as a number of Jimi's were and Uli Jon Roth's rock songs still are. The first cluse as to how to play that splendid song - I have, on my setlists, Soul To Soul as the foundation of one of the earlier sets - third one I think, of 5 or 6.

Richie Kotzen in my opinion is one of the most underrated guitarists of all time. He's also an incredible singer songwriter. Just check out "Doing what the Devil tells me to do" for proof of this. He's probably been the biggest influence on my guitar playing over the years. His technique is soulful, bluesy and incredibly fluid. The guy is an absolute inspiration.
